Fire Bound Sea Haven Christine Feehan Books
Well, after waiting so long for the next installment inthe Sisters of the Heart series, I was really excited to get this book. I've been a rabid CF fan for years now. However, that has changed after reading some of her latest works. This book gets three stars because the story, and the action was great IMO as always. The problem for me, was the excessive sex scenes. I'm not a prude by any means, and in fact, I demand a little spice to my stories, but the scenes were so constant, I skipped pages. and pages. and PAGES of sex. It started off as annoying, then boring to downright irritating to have to skip so much to get back to the story! All of her latest books have been like this. They're no more than literal step-by-step ", how-to" manuals that detract from the story, and in this case, the story did not leave me satisfied. I wanted to know what happened when they returned to Sea Haven. There could have at least been a brief epilogue after. At least we meet the last mysterious brother for Blythe. Unfortunately, that installment probably won't be out for another three years. Sigh.......Tags : Amazon.com: Fire Bound (Sea Haven) (9780349410326): Christine Feehan: Books,Christine Feehan,Fire Bound (Sea Haven),Piatkus Books,0349410321
Fire Bound Sea Haven Christine Feehan Books Reviews
This book was actually quite horrible... The plot was nonexisting, boom your dead, lets have sex. And like no im not going to get married im a indpendent woman and oh there you are im suddenly a submissive little woman... I was totally waiting for them to get back to the farm and be with the others. And the ending was kind of easy when you think of how dangerous it really was supposed to be. Well i want to k ow what happens with V and B so will be buying the next book also. Please C F make it better!
This was probably the least readable of all her Sea Haven books. I like her books most of the time, but in this one there is no real characterization, just lots of sex, but not much else. I prefer more story. I would have trouble recommending this to anyone else.
I agree with all the other negative comments. A decent story is buried under way to much sex. When just 1 of many long sex scenes takes up 5% of of the book, the author has lost her way. I've stopped reading her Carpathian stories for similar reasons. Maybe Miss Feehan needs to take a break and regroup.
Has anyone else noticed an immaturity to her last few books? It is almost like she writes a gold novella then hands it off for someone else to "pad" it to novel length.
Too. Much. Sex. I, too, agree with many of the comments. The story line was good, but, enough already! Pages and pages of redundant sexual acts. I like a bit of heat in novels, but that was just over the top. Why wasn't their return to the U.S. mentioned?. And why just a brief mention that Ilya was back with his brothers? And, still, nothing but a brief reference to the famous sisters. I'll probably buy the next "sister's" story but I hope the novels continue and include all of the psychic families of Sea Haven.
I felt like I was reading a laurel Hamilton book. The book was very light on story, mostly sex scenes. One of the things I have enjoyed most from this series was the relationships among the sisters. Totally missing. The very few scenes where the characters were not fifty shades of gray-ing were very good, but way too little story. The first 23% of the kindle edition was almost boring. Sorry I finished it actually
Where has the real Ms.Feehan gone?....I have read every book you have written....but the last 2 leopards, 3 Carpathian, 2 soldiers and now Sea Haven books have gotten progressively less story, more sex and most of that disturbingly angry and dominating. Where is the fantastic storyline that has one turning pages, the wonderful connections and development between the characters and the uses of the powers they each have? The males have gotten progressively dominant and controlling, the sex scenes overlong and bordering on deviant and the once strong and capable females falling into line. I have loved your books for so long and reread them quite often....but these new books, though in my CF library, will probably never again see the light of day!.....Please, please bring back your old writing style!
Way too much sex and very little plot. As far as I can tell, being a fire element just means you have hot sex a lot. (Pun intended). I liked the Seahaven series and I'm sorry to see it degenerate like the Dark series did.
